Dr. Tsutomu Miyasaka has also been conducting an extensive research on materials and craftsmanship in violin making especially focusing on Turin based Italian makers such as Pressenda and Rocca who worked in 19th century. He has performed in-depth research on making activities of Pressenda who has been influenced by French cultures while maintaining Italian way of making in secret ways. To date, he has published three full articles in "The Strad" magazine and other several articles in chemistry-related journals in Japan.
