Faculty of Culture and Sport Policy
The Faculty of Culture and Sport Policy has adopted a broad approach to the study of sport which goes beyond that traditionally associated with competitive athletes and sport participation for improved health. This approach emphasises the role that sport can play in the economy, politics, education and society in general where, for example, it can be a basis for human communication, cultural exchange or a means of developing technology to benefit disadvantaged or handicapped people. Also included are human performance arts such as dance, theatre and other aspects of human movement, expression and communication.
The Faculty of Culture and Sport Policy has three general fields of study represented by the Departments of Sport Education, Sport Technology, and Culture and Sport Policy.
